TrustDefender wins at 2007 Asian ICT awards!
Sydney, Australia, Monday 3 December, 2007 – Leading
Australian online security company, TrustDefender, has been recognised by
finance sector judges from the region with a merit award in the ‘Financial
Applications’ category at the 2007 Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) which were
held last week in Singapore. Judges – from the banking and finance industry –
all endorsed the quality of the TrustDefender product suite and noted that
‘TrustDefender was a ‘dynamite solution’ that would solve a growing industry
problem, not just in the region, but worldwide’. TrustDefender competed against
companies from all over Asia Pacific including China, Hong Kong, India, Korea,
Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
“We are extremely thrilled to have been recognised again
on the international stage for our online transaction security products, this
time having competed against Asia’s talented and leading growth economies
including China and India.”
“Winning this merit award at the APICTAs is the icing on the cake for us in a
year that has been so significant with widespread recognition of our leading
edge, innovative suite of TrustDefender online security and trust products. To
have been recognised and rated so highly by leading judges from the finance
industry alongside our peers is both a great thrill and an honour,” commented
TrustDefender CEO, Ted Egan.
Receiving an APICTA award in the financial applications category will
most certainly give us a boost in recognition and the opportunity to gain a
foot-hold into Asia’s powerhouse economies,” he added.
TrustDefender
is soon to launch a new managed service offering which will provide online
merchants and other online businesses with an automatic risk score evaluation
before they process any transactions, thereby giving an increased level of
trust, security and protection at the merchant or financial institution’s end
of the transaction process.
Additionally, online merchant loyalty and customer confidence in a brand that
signs up to TrustDefender’s new managed service offering will be enhanced,
especially as customers can feel safe that their confidential details are
secure.
“We have seen a increasingly growing need for a stronger ‘trust
relationship’ between online business and the consumer especially in the
finance sector. Given the increased cyber crime reports in the media, I do not
see this slowing down. We aim to capitalise on our successes from 2007 and I
predict a strong take up of TrustDefender in the online merchant and banking
industries as well as with other industries such as the telecommunications
space where companies are looking to value add and build greater trust
relations with their customer base both at a retail and or wholesale level in
2008. There is much more innovation to come from TrustDefender,” Mr. Egan
concluded.
